NVEnc also brings to the table cuvid decoding capabilities, as well as muxing and demuxing functionality, based on libavformat and high-performance filtering. You can also define the number of consecutive B frames and choose specific output formats for the resulting file and the encoded audio. For instance, NVEnc enables you to set the output codec and the encoder preset and there are various other parameters to deal with here. There are various configuration options that you can tamper with. It performs conversions to raw H.264/AVC or H.265/HEVC and allows interlaced encoding. If the input is in raw format, the FPS rate and the input resolution have to be specified. The encoder supports the following file types as input : AVI, AVS, raw YU V, Y4M, VPY.
